This one has a bit of everything — and on a sunny bank holiday, it definitely delivered ☀️

Starting near Robins Of Oakthorpe, the route begins along the old disused railway line — a wide, easy path that's perfect to settle into. It then leads you into Donisthorpe Woodland Park (Murphy made the most of the stream) before looping round to the Ashby Canal, which was easily Murphy's highlight 🐶

The canal stretch is a standout — peaceful, scenic, and full of sniffing opportunities.

That said… bank holiday = busy.

We passed plenty of dog walkers, runners, cyclists and even a couple of horses, so Murphy stayed on his long line. If your dog doesn't have solid recall, it's definitely one to be mindful of.
