## About
On the way home from an evening walk, we stopped at The Beeches for a drink. Dogs are allowed in the bar area, but it had been a lovely day and the garden was cool and inviting, so we grabbed a table outside.

It was close to closing time, so the place was nice and quiet — limited distraction for Murphy, which meant we could actually do some training with the treats available at the bar. He was, predictably, thrilled with the complimentary bar snacks. His opinion on those is always the same: more please.

Water was available from the bar, so we ordered Murphy's drink at the same time as ours. The staff were genuinely friendly — Murphy was doing his usual poodle-cross bouncing act, and they didn't make me feel awkward about it in the slightest. That kind of welcome matters.

Tonnes of parking, decent food if you're visiting for more than a swift one, and lots of tables and parasols outside if the weather's on your side. A great pit stop after a walk, or honestly just because.
