## About
This was a first for us: Murphy's first ever night away from home, and honestly, we were more nervous about it than he was.

Before booking anything, we took him along for a meet and greet with their own dogs to see how everyone got on. They also asked detailed questions about his routine, habits, likes and quirks — not a one-size-fits-all form, genuine curiosity about him specifically. That gave us confidence early on.

While we were away, we got regular messages, photos and videos, plus updates on his eating, sleeping, walks and how he was getting on with the other dogs. Reassuring without being over the top.

The set-up genuinely feels like staying in someone's home, because that's exactly what it is. There's a secure garden with plenty of space and shade to play or relax in, and Murphy was folded into family life rather than parked in a kennel somewhere. Including, apparently, at bedtime — he slept with his hosts, which tells you exactly how quickly he settled in.

There's a fair amount of paperwork to complete before the stay, but it's thorough for a reason — by the time Murphy arrived, they already knew everything they needed to about him. We found it easiest to do on a laptop rather than a phone.

What stood out most was the combination of a genuinely homely environment and attentive care. The photos and videos told their own story — a very happy dog having a considerably better holiday than the people who'd paid to go to abroad. We came home to a thoroughly content Murphy.
