## About
Within seconds of entering, Murphy had disappeared into the trees and from that point onwards he was essentially a moving blur of ears, paws and enthusiasm.

It was immediately obvious this wasn't just a secure dog area with a gate and a booking system. This is a woodland adventure that has been carefully designed around how dogs actually behave. The sort of place where every turn reveals another trail, another sniff and another place to explore.

What made it so special wasn't just the woodland itself.

It was seeing Murphy enjoy complete freedom.

No lead. No constant wait commands. No worrying about who might be around the next corner. Just 50 minutes of secure woodland where he could run, sniff, explore and make his own decisions.

For almost the entire session, he simply didn't stop.

One minute he was charging through the trees playing chase with Dad. The next he was treating the sandpit as some sort of tactical headquarters, using it as a safe zone before launching himself back into another game of hide and seek.

Murphy was absolutely convinced this was an excellent strategy.

Every path seemed to lead to another adventure. There were scents to investigate, muddy patches to inspect, tunnels to explore and enough woodland trails to keep him busy for far longer than our booking allowed.

What makes Camp Timbertail particularly impressive is that all of this freedom comes with plenty of thoughtful practical touches.

There are multiple water stations throughout the woodland, poo bins positioned around the site, spare poo bags available at the entrance and seating areas for humans. The woodland canopy provides excellent shade too, making it a fantastic option during warmer weather.

The agility equipment is woven naturally into the woodland, with tunnels, jumps and confidence-building features dotted throughout the trails. It never feels forced or overly structured. Dogs can engage with it if they want to, or completely ignore it and continue their adventure.

The attention to detail is everywhere. Helpful signs, training tips, a toy box, the Stick Library and lots of little touches that make it clear this has been designed by people who genuinely understand dogs.

There are countless interconnecting paths, meaning every corner seems to reveal something new. It feels much bigger than you initially expect and encourages dogs to explore at their own pace.

And then there was the mud.

There were a few muddy sections scattered around the woodland and Murphy investigated every single one with great enthusiasm. If your dog enjoys a bit of adventure, don't expect to take home the same colour dog you arrived with.

Parking was the only thing that felt a little tight, although it certainly wasn't enough to detract from the overall experience.

Only as our session was coming to an end did Murphy finally slow down.

After spending almost 50 minutes running, chasing, hiding, digging, sniffing and exploring, he eventually settled down with a stick to chew and a well-earned rest.

Watching him finally switch off after spending the previous 50 minutes treating the woodland like his own personal playground felt like the perfect ending to the visit.

Camp Timbertail isn't somewhere you simply exercise your dog.

It's somewhere you let them be a dog.

## Murphy's Verdict
*Reviewed by Murphy, Cavapoo and chief sniff tester at Murphy & Me — The Dog Edit*
> "I established a tactical headquarters in the sandpit and launched several successful missions from there.

I played chase. I played hide and seek. I outran Dad several times. I thoroughly investigated the mud. I checked out the water stations.

I regret nothing.

10/10. Would abandon civilisation and live here forever 🐾"
