## About
🌾🐾 Packington Meadow – Secure Dog Park 🐾🌾

🌿 A 5-acre countryside meadow with long grass, winding paths and plenty of interesting smells to keep our three entertained. We enjoyed having a wander around somewhere new and letting the dogs explore at their own pace. 🐶🌾

The first thing we noticed was just how quiet it was. Our only company was the sheep in the neighbouring field 🐑, and even they didn't seem particularly bothered by us! 😂 Our three did run over to say hello, but there were clearly much more important sniffs to be had, so the sheep were soon forgotten. 🌿👃

There are paths cut through the long grass, which make it a little more interesting to wander around rather than simply walking around an open field. 🌿🐾 Evie particularly enjoyed this and spent quite a lot of the visit disappearing into the grass with her nose firmly on the ground. 👃

There were plenty of wildlife smells to investigate and a few holes that the local wildlife had clearly been busy digging. Naturally, Evie needed to investigate those too! 🔎🐶 And, of course, there were a few suspicious smells that she felt needed to be rolled in. 😂💩

Then there was the sand pit. 🏖️🐾

Rufus would like it officially recorded that this was his favourite part of the entire dog park. 😂 There was plenty of sniffing and digging going on, and for once he seemed perfectly happy to take his time rather than rushing off to see what everyone else was doing.

There is a small gazebo with a bench, a picnic bench tucked away in the far corner and another bench underneath the trees, so there are a few places to sit and some shade available. 🌳🪑 There are also bins dotted around the field, which is always handy.

Parking is probably the main thing to be aware of. 🚐 The entrance is in a small lay-by with space for only one car – we just about squeezed our VW van in! 😂 It's on a single-lane road, although the website does mention parking nearby, so I'd have a look at the options if you're planning to arrive in more than one vehicle.

The website also mentions agility tunnels and weaves, but these weren't there when we visited. Our three didn't seem too bothered though – they were quite happy with the grass, paths, sand pit and plenty of things to sniff. 😂

Overall, Packington Meadow was a lovely place to try somewhere different. It's peaceful and natural, with plenty of space for dogs who enjoy wandering, sniffing and exploring rather than needing lots of equipment. 🌾🐾

It probably isn't going to knock our favourite dog parks off the top spot, but we had an enjoyable visit and the dogs certainly had a good time, which is what matters! ❤️

🐶 The Tamworth Trio's Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Evie says there were lots of smells and suspicious things to investigate! Rufus says the sand pit was definitely his favourite and he was quite happy hanging back in there instead of doing his usual job of leading the way. Poppy says she enjoyed having a peaceful wander while Evie disappeared into the grass. 🌾👃🏖️🐾"

Huge thanks to The Tamworth Trio for this recommendation and write-up.
