## About
This has become our go-to for walks where Murphy needs a bit more freedom but isn't quite ready for full off-lead trust.

It's 5 metres of breathing room — enough for proper sniffing adventures and recall practice, without the anxiety of him launching himself at every passing dog or well-meaning stranger.

We attach it to the back of his harness, which keeps everything comfortable and avoids any pulling drama. One thing to note: it doesn't have a looped handle, so you're holding the line itself. Once you get used to it, it's fine — but worth knowing if you're comparing options.

The training side of it has been genuinely helpful. When Murphy spots someone he'd quite like to befriend (i.e. everyone), we've got enough line to let him approach calmly rather than doing his usual full-speed greeting. It's made a real difference to his manners, and our stress levels.

The trade-off? It's not waterproof. After a muddy walk or a detour through a stream, it comes home wet, heavy, and absolutely filthy. Your hands will know about it. We've learned to keep an old towel in the car for post-walk cleanup — for Murphy and the line.

But for everyday use, especially if you're working on recall or just want to give your dog a bit more adventure without the full commitment of off-lead? It does the job really well.
