## About
We arrived post-walk from Snibston Colliery Park, which meant Murphy was in that very specific state of 'tired but still capable of sudden enthusiasm' 😅

The first thing we spotted was the Paws of Fame — a whole wall dedicated to photos of dogs who've visited, each with their name and a little note about what they love. It's the sort of touch that immediately tells you this place actually likes dogs, rather than just tolerating them.

The Furry Friends menu included dog sausages, handmade bone biscuits, and a pawpuccino topped with pork liver sprinkles. Murphy sat very nicely for his, which is his version of a five-star review.

What really stood out was how genuinely comfortable we felt being there with a post-walk, slightly dusty dog. The tables were nicely spaced, water bowls were available, and nobody gave us the look. You know the one.

The café itself is immaculately fitted out — modern, clean, and with enough natural light that it feels really welcoming. There are also some lovely old colliery equipment displays in cases on the walls, which gives the whole place a proper sense of local history without feeling like a museum.

For humans, there's a great selection of hot and cold drinks, including some very fancy options we absolutely indulged in, plus plenty of food choices.

One thing to note: Grounds loves dogs but asks that they're kept off the furniture, which is completely fair.

Parking is contactless pay-on-exit — £3 for over an hour, or £1 if you're in and out within the hour. The car park opens at 7am and closes between 4pm and 8pm depending on the month. They're also part of the Leicestershire Country Parks season ticket scheme (£85 a year), which might be worth it if you're planning to make this a regular.

They're open every day from 9:30am - 4:30pm.

We had a genuinely lovely morning stop-off and will definitely be back 🐾

> "The pawpuccino had pork liver sprinkles.

PORK. LIVER. SPRINKLES.

I sat very nicely. I was a gentleman. I have reviewed the situation thoroughly and would like to return immediately.

Also there's a wall with potential new friends on it. I’d like to make friends with them all 🐾☕"
