# Wild Woods Secure Dog Park
**Type:** Service | **Location:** Camp Timbertail area (exact location sent via Google Maps link upon booking), East Midlands, England, United Kingdom
## About
🌳 Nine acres of secure woodland, endless trails and enough things to sniff, explore and investigate to keep even Evie entertained for hours. We'd visited Camp Timbertail after a recommendation from Murphy and, on the way out, spotted the signs for Wild Woods and Kalianna Grove. We decided we'd be back to check out Wild Woods – this time booking for a late afternoon walk rather than our usual early morning.

This time we brought along another family member and, more importantly, Bailey – a German Shepherd x Labrador and Evie's bestest ever friend. 🐶❤️ Bailey also has a guest staying with him, Lottie – a Bernese Mountain Dog x Poodle, so we had five very different dogs ready for a woodland adventure! 🐾🌲

Once you've booked, you get the Google Maps location sent to you, and I'd definitely recommend using this rather than relying on the postcode. 📍 Once Google Maps gets you to the right spot, you turn right and follow a fairly long, bumpy dirt track until you reach the gates for Wild Woods.

There's a sign asking you not to drive past the gate until your allocated time, as there's only room for one car to come in and out. 🚗 The car park itself isn't huge, so it's definitely worth following the instructions and being mindful of other visitors.

But once those gates close behind you... it feels like you've got your own private forest. 🌲🐾

There are trails winding through the trees, little hiding spots, twists and turns and so many places to explore. It's like letting the dogs loose in their own little woodland adventure.

And for Evie, this was basically Disneyland. 😂🌳🐶 While we waited for Bailey, Lottie and their humans to arrive – they were running a little late – we decided to play a game of hide and seek with Evie. There are so many little trails, twists, turns and hiding spots that it was basically the perfect place for it! She absolutely loved disappearing into the trees, hunting us down and then charging back out looking incredibly pleased with herself. 🐶💨🌲

We booked the 50-minute session, but there's also the option to book 1 hour 50 minutes. Honestly, next time I think we'll be going for the longer slot because they were having that much fun. 😂🐾

Once Bailey and Lottie had arrived, Rufus took the lead, confidently making his way through the trees and deciding whether we were going left or right. 🐶🌲 Close behind were Bailey, Evie and Lottie – or, more accurately, the occasional blur of three dogs chasing each other through the woodland! 💨🐕🐕🐕 Poppy happily ran ahead to join in with them too, although she was never too far away from our feet for very long. ❤️

There's a dog bin situated by the gate, which is handy for getting rid of the inevitable woodland deposits before you head home. 🗑️🐾

We love secure dog parks because they give the dogs somewhere to be safely off lead, run, chase and explore – especially Evie, who seems to have an internal battery that nobody has found the off switch for yet. 😂 But Wild Woods felt like it offered something different.

This wasn't just a secure space to run around. It played into every part of being a dog – sniffing, exploring, following trails, disappearing into the trees, chasing other dogs and making choices for themselves. 🌲👃🐾

And honestly, we absolutely loved it. 💚

Bailey in particular had a brilliant time. He and Evie spent a huge part of the visit charging through the trees together, with Lottie happily joining in, while Rufus took his role as woodland guide very seriously. 😂 Poppy, meanwhile, did what Poppy does best – joined in when she fancied it and then came back to check we were still there.

It was one of those visits where you get back to the car and realise the dogs have properly done something rather than simply run around. They'd sniffed, explored, chased, investigated and generally had a very good dog day out. 🐶🌲❤️

Definitely one we'll be coming back to – and next time, we're booking the 1 hour 50 minutes! 🐾🌲💚

🐶 The Tamworth Trio's Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"TREES! TRAILS! FRIENDS! SNIFFS! 🌲🐾 Evie says this is basically the best place ever because she can chase Bailey, disappear into the woods and investigate approximately 4,827 smells. Rufus says he's happy to be in charge of directions and Poppy says she'll follow... but only if she can come back and walk next to Mum and Dad afterwards. 😂🐶💚"
