In the run-up to Murphy's 1st birthday, I asked The Pack for ideas on how to celebrate 🎉

The recommendation that came up again and again was Pupcakes, so we just had to give them a try!

From our very first message, Vickie was brilliant. She was incredibly responsive, happy to answer questions and genuinely seemed excited to help us celebrate Murphy's birthday. We really appreciated how flexible she was too. Murphy isn't a fan of peanut butter (I know, he's clearly broken 😂), so she happily adjusted the recipe to suit him.

It never felt like placing an order — it felt like chatting to someone who genuinely loves dogs and understands how much they mean to us.

The attention to detail was lovely. The cake and personalised biscuits were beautifully presented in a gift box tied with paw-print ribbon and lined with paw-print tissue paper. A birthday candle, ingredient information and storage instructions were all included too.

The little things like that made it feel like a genuine celebration rather than just a dog treat.

Between the personalised extras, thoughtful presentation and clear care instructions, it felt like excellent value for money and something that had been made with a lot of care.

Murphy didn't even try to play it cool when we presented it to him. Before he'd had a single taste, he was hopping around the kitchen while we tried to take photos. That alone told me everything I needed to know 🤣

As an added bonus, any leftovers can be frozen — although judging by how quickly Murphy worked his way through it, I'm not entirely convinced that will be a problem for most dogs 🐶🦴

It's easy to see why so many people recommended Pupcakes. Thoughtful service, great communication and one very excited birthday boy 🩵
