So when we were out looking at harnesses at Robins, we finally decided to try something we'd been curious about for a while. The dog wash. Safe to say… we might never wash Murphy at home again! The dog wash sits around the back of the store inside its own secure fenced area, which immediately makes the whole experience feel relaxed. Payment couldn't have been easier. We simply tapped our card and paid £10 for 10 minutes. The touchscreen is incredibly straightforward to use, with different wash options including rinse, two shampoos, conditioner, flea & tick shampoo and a dryer. You can swap between the settings whenever you like, so you're never committed to one cycle. There are two hooks inside the wash to clip your lead onto if you need them, making it much easier to keep an excited dog safely in place. We didn't actually need to use them with Murphy, but they're exactly the sort of practical feature that makes a difference. There was also plenty of room for both of us to work together. Greg handled one side while I tackled the other, and neither of us felt like we were getting in each other's way. Perhaps the biggest surprise? Murphy. Bath time at home usually involves at least a little negotiation. Here, he simply stood there. No scrambling. No whining. No attempts to climb out. Maybe it was because everything felt more open than a bath at home, or maybe he simply accepted his fate — but whatever the reason, he seemed noticeably more relaxed throughout. We finished with around two minutes still left on the clock, even without rushing. We chose not to use the dryer because it was a warm day, so Murphy simply finished drying naturally. And the smell… Let's just say Murphy left smelling less like a muddy Cavapoo and more like an exotic tropical dessert 🥥 ## Murphy's Verdict *Reviewed by Murphy, Cavapoo and chief sniff tester at Murphy & Me — The Dog Edit* > "I still don't understand why humans insist on making me smell nice… but if it means I don't have to balance in the bath anymore, I suppose I can live with it.
